Week 2

One of the two keepers.  We had five crabs in the pot but one was female and had to be thrown back and two were too small to keep.

South Harbor.  There are two tables like the one here where people can clean their fish.  This is where a sea lion hangs out for free meals.

The cleaned crab.

Here is my coworkers boat that we took out crabbing.  There are two crab pots in the back and one in the front.

This is the boat we take to get to work.

One of the first units I worked in was in the tall trees at the top of this hillside.  There is a picture further down that looks at the truck from the bottom edge of the unit.  It gives some perspective on how high up we worked.

Another shot looking up the hill.

This is a little ways into the unit.

Looking out from the lower boundary of the unit.

In the middle of the photo you can kind of make out the work truck.

Down on the road by the truck.

Another shot of our boat joined by another crew's boat.

This is Devil's club.  There are some pictures of this plant from week 1 but this shows how large they can get.  This is the unit I was working in when I was attacked by one of the Devil's clubs.
